On-device AI driving assistant for Android that keeps a safe following distance — free, no ads, no account.

Overview
Mounted on the windshield, the phone’s rear camera and an on-device model recognise the vehicle ahead, estimate the gap and compare it with the legal minimum for the current GPS speed, with voice, sound and haptic alerts.
The problem
Following too closely is a common cause of rear-end collisions, yet drivers cannot judge distance in metres at speed, and most driver-assist features only come with new cars.
Approach & key decisions
- Vision runs entirely on the phone: detects the vehicle ahead in the same lane and estimates following distance in real time — no cloud round-trip, no account.
- Rules engine compares the gap with Vietnam’s Circular 38/2024 distance table by default and switches to the 2- and 3-second rules in Canada and the US.
- Forward-collision, lane-departure and speed-limit-sign alerts with Vietnamese or English voice prompts, sound and vibration.
- Picture-in-picture mode runs alongside Google Maps; guided mounting plus continuous self-calibration of the camera.
- Trip history stays on the device; GPS route logging is opt-in and off by default. Day, night and HUD-mirror modes.
